It’s Our Anniversary!
Reflecting on our journey, and looking ahead
As our subscribers, you know our company is about so much more than theatre; it’s about creating a culture beyond an algorithm, valuing experiences over things, and fostering togetherness instead of disconnection.
It’s hard to believe that two whole years have passed since we came together with a shared vision: to create a theatre company that would fill a gap in Vancouver’s arts scene by showcasing classic theatre works, while reflecting the diverse cultural heritage of our communities in Vancouver and BC.
Since founding Exact Resemblance three years ago, we have staged three productions that have wowed audiences and critics alike. Alongside our productions, we have made a lasting impact on the local theatre community: we’ve delivered three completely free mentorship programs to emerging women directors, offered discounted and free tickets to youth and refugees; and hosted free skill-building workshops and play readings.
Our small but mighty team could not have done any of this without your support. By coming to our shows, sharing our content, and getting the word out, you continue to help us on our mission, and for that, we can’t thank you enough.
We hope you’ll continue to be part of our mission to bring thought-provoking, thrilling theatre to Vancouver, and enrich our city’s cultural landscape. By supporting homegrown artists, you’re bolstering Canadian arts and culture and making sure Vancouver remains a world-class city.
Want to
Help us identify sponsorship and partnership opportunities. If you have connections or expertise in this area, please reach out! We are eager to collaborate and grow our network.
Donate to our fundraiser. Every contribution, no matter how small, helps. All funds go directly toward covering production costs so that we can keep ticket prices in check. Donate here.
Book your tickets and spread the word! If you can’t donate or assist in other ways, attending our shows, sharing them with friends and family, and spreading the word can make all the difference.
Thank you for being part of our journey. We hope to see you at our next performance!
Warmly,
Cristiana & Gillian
Zoo Story by Edward Albee

Early Bird Tickets End September 15!
Don’t wait — ticket prices for The Zoo Story go up after September 15. Secure your seats now for Edward Albee’s explosive one-act, playing October 16–26 at Studio 16.
Meet the Cast
We are thrilled to introduce our two extraordinary actors: Jacob Machin and Michael Briganti will alternate roles as Peter and Jerry, giving audiences two distinct interpretations of this searing confrontation.

Come once. Come again. See it from the other side. (And remember — your second ticket is 50% off!)
Why Now
Written in 1958, Albee’s play was once called “a provocation and an invitation”. Sixty years later, it speaks urgently to our times: urban loneliness, fractured connection, and the need to be seen and heard.
Tickets & Accessibility
Early Bird prices available until Sept 15
